An Oral History Audio Trail For Leicester

An Oral History Audio Trail for Leicester

This project has used the recordings in the collections of the East Midlands Oral History Archive (EMOHA) to create an audio trail in central Leicester. There are a dozen stops on the trail which takes you from the Town Hall to the Clocktower, round the back of Highcross, along Silver Street and back to the Clocktower. Voices recorded over the last 30 years tell you about people and events linked with these places.

The sound files are available:

On EMOHA’s You Tube channel (with pictures): http://www.youtube.com/user/EMOralHistory

On the Empedia website (for mobile devices): http://empedia.info/maps/29

On EMOHA’s website at (.pdf map): http://www.le.ac.uk/emoha/community/audiotrail.html
