Harborough Museum needs you!

As part of the new ‘MuBu’ project, Harborough Museum will be putting up hundreds of photographs of places around Harborough – but we need help! We need volunteers to put the images on computer software that will be installed at the museum later this year. We also need people who can identify where the photos were taken, what they are of and to recall your memories of the places featured. If you are interested in volunteering at the museum please contact us on 01858 821085 or via email: harboroughmuseum@leics.gov.uk

Want to see what Harborough looked like a hundred years ago?

As part of Renaissance East Midlands’ ‘MuBu’ project, Harborough Museum is putting hundreds of its 10,000 strong collection of photographs online. The pictures can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/harboroughmuseum/

And by selecting the map option you’ll even be able to see where the pictures were taken. Some of the pictures date back to the early 1900’s when it all looked very different.
