Roadtrip 31 August 2010

I have just finished organising the roadtrip for 31st august. Northampton Youth Forum will be visiting four more museums. I hope you all enjoy the day.

Roadtrip 23 August

Eight young people and four adults from Northampton Youth Forum went on a road trip around Northamptonshire visiting five museums.

They visited Rushden Museum, Rushden Transport Museum, Wollaston Museum, 78 Derngate and Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.

Lindsey Ambrose from the Northampton Youth Forum commented

“Northampton Youth Forum have asked me to pass on their thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in making their roadtrip and visits to heritage places such an awesome occasion on 23 August.”

One of the Youth Forum members, Callum Green, wants to become a professional photographer and is gaining experience to help him go to college etc through acting as a ‘press officer’ and photographer in activities we do for the youth forum. By way of a thank you and to support the sites we visited, Callum kindly agreed to share the photos back to the heritage sites so long as they acknowledged him to help them in their publicity. The Youth Forum wanted to show other young people, youth workers etc too as part of keeping them informed about what they’ve been doing – and to show them the excellent places, to show unusual angles on things etc to help show there’s more than one way to look at a ‘museum’, so they’re in an album called ‘Roadtrip 1′ on the Northampton Youth Forum Facebook page (”

The link to the album itself is:

Thank you to all the young people and adults who took part in the ‘roadtrip’.
